I gave up hot tools completely, it's been 11 months since I used my straightener and instead I've been blowdrying my hair straight, I use coconut oil a few times a week (trying to grow my hair out longer), and I'd recommend a silk pillow or cloth to put on your pillow to prevent split ends and tears while you're sleepibg.

I respect people who don't use heat on their hair.. I use it on my hair 2 out of 7 days of the week.. and I do hair masks once or twice a week. My hair is fairly healthy after the dying rampage I've been on. I think my shampoo and conditioner that I've started using by John Frieda has had a major part in it though. My masks consist of coconut oil, tea tree oil, & sandalwood oil. Then I use Aussie 3 Minute Miracle.
