So my first mac purchase was a few years ago on my 17th and was the studio fix foundation but unfortunately I was matched wrong and it was far too dark and wrong undertone (nc15) which I've now learnt is warm, so now that I've determined I'd be nw15 I'm considering trying again with their studio sculpt foundation; however, it's 55$ here and before I spend that much on a foundation I'm curious about ther people's opinions and how it worked for you girls that've tried it?

I have normal/dry skin and need at least enough coverage to hide my freckles, will this foundation do that for me? As for finishes, I generally use matte foundations and I always set with powder but I'm all for finding a good dewy foundation too. Thanks so much in advance for anyone that can help :)

It's okay, but I wouldn't wear it if your going to touch your face a lot cause it just wipes off or are going to sweat because it will come off completely.

Opps sorry I just realised I read this too fast I thought it said "studio fix" I haven't tried studio sculpt but I've tried all the other Mac foundations and they all transferred and sweated off.

I know ahhaha I have the same problem, I wore Mac matchmaster yesterday when I was playing cricket and it wore off my forhead completely because I was sweating haha 😭

Hahah aw man my forehead always does that too hahah! So embarrassing lmao! I've been reaching for my Rimmel 25hour stay more then usual cause it's the only foundation that stays on in this heat._. Haha!

Thanks Alexis! I've tried that and liked it but had to give it to a friend cause it was so dark for me :( wish I could tan haha!

Why do you want to cover up your beautiful freckles!? I personally love freckles. I think they set a beauty apart from all the rest. But I understand that its your choice so I respect you for that. ;) Ok, as far as MAC foundations go I'm not a fan of them. I think for everyday wear they are horrible for the skin due to some of the horrible irritants it contains. Everyone's skin is different and with that comes different outcomes but I've been none too impressed. I've seen Kat Von D's Lock It Foundation in action and I think its a much better foundation. A dewy foundation...I've been personally loving Dior Star foundation. Its of medium coverage and it gives a nice dewy skin look. Its been nicknamed the best selfie foundation around for "your skin but better" look. I apply it with my Beauty Blender and it gives me a nice even look.

That's a good idea too Jacqlyn! I think getting myself a white foundation would be a good idea anyway lol :p

@ Shelley, I like my freckles but I've always found it hard to have "even" skin so to speak and still have my freckles peaking through, I don't think I've found the right foundation for that but when I do I'll probably enjoy my freckles 50% more haha! Thank you for being understanding about covering them though :)

Would you recommend the Kat von D foundation? I've thought about purchasing it before, just because they have paler shades I feel could work but to get it here I would need to purchase online haha. :(
Thanks so much for taking your time to respond!

I have the Studio Sculpt in NW15 and loooove it except for the fact that it's toooo dark for me! Lol I totally agree with Jacqlyn. I have to mix in a white foundation with mine but the finish of the Studio Sculpt is beautiful!

Yea shaye also try maybelline super stay (the better skin line has coulours for pale skin) it's the only foundation that stays on in 45 degree heat for me, and won't budge when I swim for hours.

Yeh I feel you! I'm always trying to cover up my freckles and "beauty spot" mole looking shit on my face ahha. So hard to have even skin when your freckled and pale as snow.

Hahah yes it is so hard jasi lol! I'll look into that foundation, nothing I like more then a good drugstore foundation haha!

Aw grace! I haven't seen you on here in ages, hello! Aw you girls, the finish sounds amazing and that's what I want haha, perhaps I'll go into the store and see if they can give it a go and I'll decide if I'll like it haha :p

Thanks so much Anastasia! I was matched to nc15 last time I went into my local mac store but now that I've learnt the Nw is actually cool toned I'm a little more aware of what to look for haha :) thanks for responding! The finish sounds amazing.

I have normal dry skin and I really do like the studio sculpt and love the satin finish it's very hydrating. I have redness on my cheeks and it helps to cover it up. however I do like estee lauder double wear better.
