A chemical exfoliant is best like a BHA or AHA I personally use the BHAS exfoliant by paulas choice and it works great.

Exfoliating doesn't just remove acne but chemical exfoliating is a better choice than manual because you don't scrub over the pimples irritating them , like Diana suggested.
