This is what I was trying to copy

Hi Erin. you definitely have the idea down. I will be completely honest and say that it does look a bit messy. how many colors did you use saw your transition colors?

For the transition color I used 2 and 2 colors on the lid. How can I do this without it coming out messy? I wanted it to be we'll blended

There's just a very harsh line where the transition area meets the highlight/brow bone area. The highlight color should have more room and the transition should be closer to the crease area. If that makes any sense.

When I start a Smokey eye I begin with the first transition color. I place it a little higher than the crease and blend in circular motion towards the brow bone. sometimes we have to step back and look at what we're doing.

we don't want to blend to high because then we lose our brow bone

Definitely need to work your transition colors maybe your transition colors were too dark so no matter how much you blend it looks visible the harsh lines

No makeup artist either but you have everything good but maybe you need to work your way with softer transition colors and then you can build as you like ๐Ÿ˜Š

I agree, a deeper transition color would really amp it up, and if you don't have that maybe bring the black to the crease and just blend out with the cranberry shade? I think the colors are stunning, and your application is almost spot on.

Oops I did not mean to send that! I was going to reword it, I mean that you should lower the crease color a bit and apply a transition shade to help blend that out! I'm sorry for the mix up, I thought you use the middle shade as a transition! Which I also think you could do If you blend that with the browbone color a bit lower! I think if you apply the cranberryish shade like the brown in this picture it would look lovely as well! Just blend that from the crease! I'm genuinely sorry if this whole spheel was confusing, it's eleven I clock and I feel like a zombie ๐Ÿ˜‚ hopefully I could help a little!

I really love the use of colors you used & your brows are gorgeous! But I agree that you should do the shadow a little lower but it's beautiful Erin good job ๐Ÿ˜Š
