Do you guys have any tips for making your natural curls to come back. My hair use to be perfect actual curls but its curly/wavy like in my picture now because I use to straighten it everyday. I've stopped straightening it and haven't in almost a year. But is there anyway to get your curls back besides cutting your hair off and basically having it grow back healthy? Thanks everyone!

I definitely recommend a curl enhancing cream. Shea moisture and One n Only Argan both have amazing curl enhancing creams.

I agree with Kitty! I also suggest using a leav in condition like cantu Shea butters leave in conditioner which is my holy grail! It is amazing! It moisturizes and make my hair soft and shiny the benefits of moisture are plentiful. Also, back when I was brushing and tearing up my hair , I had frizzy hair because it was so dry, and I had no clue how to work with it. After I started using Shea moisture curl enhancing most hie and cantu Shea butters leave in, my curls are very defined (if I dorm touch them a ton as they dry) and moisturized. Moisture is key to having your curl pattern come back! It could also be permanent damage, which would has to be either grown out or cut off to achieve your old curl pattern!

Also another too is to try combing instead of brushing? It's more gentle and there is less tearing of the hair shaft involved!

I use a curl cream (OGX Kukui Oil cream is what I use) followed by a leave-in conditioner (L'Oreal EverCreme Nourishing Leave-In spray) followed by the OGX Kukui Oil spray. I comb it all though, then wrap my hair around my fingers in sections to get my bouncy curls, otherwise sometimes like you, my hair is kinda wavy from my days of straightening it so much. I would also suggest using a sulfate-free shampoo or just co-washing. Gotta retain all the moisture you can! Look for products with shea butter, almond butter, or jojoba oil. They'll all be your best friends.
