Hi ladies, I may sound thick but what actually is it...? And who gets it? Is it genetic or can you develop it at any time?

You can get it at any time. I have hormonal acne, so my chin and jaw line break out. It started when when I turned 30. It's a way for your body to tell you something may not be right. for me that means my kidneys. Also can be dirt, oil under the skin (where the acne bump is) of course I'm not a doctor :) I know a lot of the beautiful ladies on here may be able to explain it better...

It can be genetic, hormonal, from , lifestyle meaning what you eat, lack of skin care, It's basically a cycle of imflamation paired with bacteria, and some people deal with it there whole lives, others can get it when they are have a hormonal imbalance, some people have Food allergies and can't pin point what foods they should stay away from, there are a lot of different reasons , but it can pop up at anytime
