Hey all,
so I've been looking at Tarte's Amazonian Clay line of foundations, primers, and concealers, but I see a lot of people complaining about the products breaking them out, so they stop using it.
(Just a skin background; I have combo skin with an oily t zone, and scarring from once severe acne)
I've used clay based masks, and at first, they do make me break out. I was always under the impression that that was the point and that the clay draws the gunk out of your skin. So to me, it was only rational that a breakout was to be expected during the first few days to a week of use because all that gunk is now closer to your outer layers and basically in prime clogging territory.
So my questions are:
1. is my theory correct? is this why people break out because of that makeup?
2. have you tried any of the tarte foundations, concealers, and primers and enjoyed the, and have they had adverse effects on your skin?

I agree with Jacqlyn.
I have tried the Amazonian clay concealer and it did not work for me only because I was suggested this concealer did not crease and I think it did. The consistence was very thick and I felt within minutes it was creasing.

Thank you ladies! I appreciate the input. I'll most likely stray from the foundation and concealer.
It just always really confused me because Tarte is supposed to be so good for your skin, but so many people say it broke them out.

@Jacqueline, I hoped somebody would bring up the balling, just so I can talk myself out of buying it. I saw a couple people point that out, but I thought "maybe it was just the blending or the moisturizer, ect" but now seeing you say it makes me not want to risk it. Thank you.
@Gisell, I'm curious as to how you make sure yours doesn't ball up haha

Try the Estée Lauder or naked foundation.

I apply moisturizer, then my primer& I use my hands to apply the foundation:-) I find it a lot easier to blend than a brush.
