I put a coat of clear nail polish over them whenever they start looking a bit matte:) also if I get gaps at the end of my nails, I fill them in with a nail polish of a similar/same colour:)

Oh, I always repaint mine. To remove the color just make sure you use ACETONE FREE remover, any acetone will melt your acrylics. After you take the old polish off, buff em smooth with a block and voila! Fresh canvas. If you have the regrowth gaps just gently file them down to where the acrylic is even with your nail.
