It's actually against the law to do something in a workplace that makes you uncomfortable so don't feel obliged to do ANYTHING you're uncomfortable with!!

Suzy is right.
I work at PacSun and the worker discounts are hands down amazing. They do this to encourage employee's to buy and wear their clothing to work. But they can't force you to do anything you don't want to do. They may strongly suggest it, but if you're not comfortable, then don't do it. :)

These girls said it all. if you need to LOOK tan, on the other hand, you can use a wash-off spray tan so you can use it only while working.

They can have you look tan but if you are in the US it is illegal for them to force you into something like a tanning bed because if the health risks. If they don't allow any form of tanning but the bed I'd contact the Better Business Beuro...

They can't force you but they're probably looking for someone tan to represent the shop. if anything get a spray tan, they're actually not damaging... even antiaging lol:)

I used to work at a tanning salon (horrible decision) and I was never made to tan and I agree with Kendra, contact the BBB if it becomes a problem
