Hey ladies so whenever lipstick I get, it doesn't matter from what brand they always come off. The supposed long lasting 12 hr ones always transfer. How can I prevent this?

So like a nude one? That will prevent transfer/fading?

Usually they do.. And if the lipstick does fade the lipliner would still be there as it stains your lips so I'd suggest getting one a similar color to your lipstick. Also, I've heard putting a tissue over the lips and dusting powder over it helps.

A lipstick sealer would work :-)

Sealers prevent bleeding, feathering, fading, transferring and last 6 hours.

I've been using too faced melted. Thought it would last. I might have to check those sealers out!

Sealers have been around for years and they work amazingly.I'm surprised they are not mentioned on Beautylish. :-)

Sealed with a kiss has mixed reviews. Do you have personal experience with it?

Lipstick sealers are the best, I agree with Alma :) I don't know why people don't talk about them!! If I wear lipstick without a sealer I have to look at my face every 5 minutes to make sure it didn't smudge lmao. Took me sooo long to figure out something that would fix it!

Yes I've used it,I always suggest what I've used since makeup is what I do lol and it does the job. When it comes to cosmetics you can't rely on reviews you can rely on suggestions and trial. Its the best way to find what you like or dislike. When applying a sealer always be light handed with it don't pile it on like a lipstick. :-)

Alma how is the feel and finish of a lip sealer? I never tried that either!

Hi Sabrina, it feels like a matte lipstick or lip liner it seals smooth you forget you actually have lip product on.If you put to much on it will dry your lips out but if you use a lip brush or light handed when applying you would be set.

That sounds really good :) Does it make the lipstick look matte as well? I will have to get one :) Thanks for always dishing out of all your fantastic knowledge!

Um, I'm loving this thread! I've never used a sealant, but I'm going to now! Thanks Alma and Jacqueline for all the product suggestions!
I use a lip primer and love the lasting power it gives me, I wonder if a primer/lipstick/sealer combo would be too much product layering?
