It depends on your personal preference, you should probably wash it whenever you wash your brushes. Makeup experts suggest washing them AT LEAST once a month.

I personally wash mine after every use to kill excess bacteria. you don't want to keep using it on your face day after day, it can be bad for your skin :)

When I used to use mine all the time I sprayed with a disinfectant spray after every use and I actually cleaned it once a week with the rest if my brushes.
