Posted this last night but no one replied, I think I made it too long haha.
I'm going to Ulta today to get my first high end foundation. I think I've decided on UD's naked foundation. The reviews looked really good. Anyone have any feedback on it?
I also was looking at MUFE HD and Nars Sheer Glow but Naked seemed to have the most positive reviews.
What are your opinions?
I'm pretty pale, cool or neutral toned, and I want something that stays in heat.

They are all great foundations. What kind of skin do you have? Dry, oily, combination, normal, sensitive? You're looking for longevity. is there anything else your looking for?

Well I'm actually not sure about my skin type. It's pretty normal, probably closer to the dry side most of the time but not bad, but now in the summer my makeup has been melting off and my nose especially has been getting very shiny lol.
Longevity is the biggest thing cuz of that. But I want something that looks really smooth and natural too, not caked on.
My skin isn't too bad, I don't have acne, but I get a lot of redness and discoloration. So just something to even out the skin tone, maybe medium coverage, I don't know.

Are you using a primer? A primer will increase the longevity of your foundation. Also using a setting powder to set your foundation will also increase the longevity and keep any oil at bay. I'd suggest either the MUFE HD and the Naked skin. They both look very beautiful on the skin. Also applying either of those foundations with your fingertips to get a really smooth natural finish.

I LOVE the naked for my oily skin. it's not super great coverage but it has enough to cover discoloration. the finish is natural and a bit dewy. It's my only high end foundation, but I love it.

Sonya, yes I'm using Almay's luminous color correcting primer. I'm not using a setting powder though. I might try that just on my nose. Do you have any suggestions for that? I can't really spend a lot of money on much else. is the NYX one good?

I've had mufe hd and am now currently using nars sheer glow and I highly suggest nars. mufe hd was amazing but not as much as nars. I have normal sometimes dry skin with redness and a few spots. it gives me coverage that can probably last days and it gives me a great glow. I too get a bit oily in my tzone in summer and even without powder it doesn't show. I've only tried ud naked on my hand and wasnt crazy about it but I won't be able to tell you how it wears. if you do end up getting it, I highly suggest you pick up a nars tester to try it, its my favorite product everrrr.

Yes! the nyx one is great. Rimmel stay matte is awesome as well. And they're about the same price. Good luck. Post a motd when you get it!:)

Well I've only been to ulta once in cali because I'm from canada but when I go to sephora I just ask I say that I'm interested in the product but I would like to test before making a purchase and theyll do it for you!

If you want something that stays In the heat then check out Smashbox Studio Skin foundation. It's got a natural satin finish (not dewy, not matte) and it's stays in the AZ heat that I'm living in. It's my absolute favorite.

Oh and I have dry skin and it looks great on my skin. Doesn't cling, doesn't enhance pores and never separates.

Thank you all :) I ended up getting the Naked one. It looked really pretty when I tested it out. Haven't done a full face with it yet though, if it doesn't work for me I'll return it and try one of the others :) thanks for all your help!
