Use a spot treatment or some tea tree oil :) just don't touch it. You could also disinfect it first to avoid it getting worse. :D.

Try crushing up some oats, mix them with water and apply. it's very soothing. I get tea tree oil at specialty organic stores and herbalists but I live in Italy. in the US you can find it at target, I know that they sell tea tree oil by their store brand up&up.

I used to get the kind of acne you are describing (cystic acne) and I've tried most drug store products and a lot of those home remedies you read about on the internet. All of them were a complete waste of time. The only thing that worked for me was going to my doctor and getting accutane. After a course of accuntane my skin is flawless and stayed flawless after I stopped taking accutane. It has been over a year since I've taken accuntane. Oh and I just want to add that my skin wasn't terrible to begin with , I has lots of zits but nothing extreme, I would rate my acne at about 7 out of 10 before accutane ( 10 being to worst)

I have no regrets about going on acctuane, the only regret I have is wasting my time and money and drug store products and home remedies.

To make redness go away really quick I use clear eyes redness relief. (Yes the eye drops!) five mins and the redness is decreased significantly

First off good for you for not picking! Secondly I always suggest putting a hot towel over the area and then a soothing moisturizer that has a itty bitty amount if acne treatment ❤️🙈

If you ice the area for 10 minutes or so the swelling will go down and you'll be able to cover it up more effectively (if you were planning on using makeup).

This has personally worked for me:
Crushing up a few aspirin pills and adding a tiny amount of water to make a paste
There's some ingredients in the pills that are in some acne treatments apparently.
It's worked for me as a spot treatment as well as an exfoliating face mask.
