So I really want a curling wand but the only ones I've ever found are expensive. So... Would it just be the same if I wrapped it around my curling iron and didnt use the clamp? I was thinking about this and a friend showed me a video of a girl who was trying that and ended up burning her hair off. Was that because of what she did or was the setting too high or what? Thank you:)

The heat setting was probably too high on the curling iron, you can definitely do that! it doesn't work as well, but it works

You should look at Marshall's, Ross, or TJ Maxx for a curling wand. They are usually discounted there.

Curling wands usually aren't very expensive. I have a Babyliss that retails for about $40.

I use my curling iron as a curling wand, my hair has never fallen off but I did see that video of that curling her hair and the whole piece just came right off lmaoooo. My curling iron gets to be the same temperature as my actual curling wand (which sucks) so I use the iron :) Chelsea Houska from Teen Mom 2 does her hair that way and regardless of what people think of the show, her hair is amazing lmao!

TJ Maxx has a ton of amazing wands that are around $30 and also you can just do it with a regular curling iron as well!
