I'm at that age where I need to seriously start thinking about my career choices. I love doing make-up and creative looks, and I was wondering what it's like to be a makeup artist?
Here are my main questions...
-Is it fun?
-Do you have to do hair?
-Would you be needed to take a course in hair or can you just do makeup?
-Would having an extra qualification in hair or nails be beneficial?
-Is the wage good?
-Do you do a lot of travelling?
-Is it hard to find work?
-Does it get boring after a while?
-Can you earn a living straight away?
If you don't want to answer some questions, I understand. Thank you so much for reading this and for any replies.

I am glad you are interested in being a mua.
yes it is fun.
You don't have to do hair but it helps get more clients
having the qualifications for hair is beneficial(I am in texas and I do not have to have a license to be a mua. Most states require it though)
the wage goes by experience or skill level
finding work is all up to you. pursue it and you'll find it.
traveling is so so.
It is never boring
you can earn a living if your seek out work.
Good luck!!
if you have any more questions feel free to ask.

Thank you both so much! That helps a lot, I think I'll put it down on my list of possible choices. Thank you!

Where I come from, small town in upstate NY, you would have to travel a lot to make a decent wage. it mainly depends on where you live. if your in a big city like NYC ud do fine, but a small town won't have the clientele to make ends meet.
