I love all my scars! reminds me of all the badassery (totally not even a word) that occurred throughout my years growing up! haha. I don't mind them, but I know a lot of girls do. the only scars I hate are my acne scars! that's it, though.

Well I've had stretch marks since puberty & they are definitely my main source of insecurity. My family always tries to say they're just marks but not to me. I know I'll never come to love them but that's just me :)

I have a few silly scars from falling over, accidentally cutting the tip of my thumb of when I was a kid, falling off a bike onto a ball bearing that also left a scar, I don't regret having them though and if someone asks I don't mind telling them, makes me giggle that I was clumsy as I was as a child lmao.

Well I hate acne scars but as far as other scars I don't care. I had my gallbladder taken out in April and I have tiny scars but I know so many girls who freak out but I honestly don't. I think it tells a story... But yes I hate acne scars on me...

I love my scars! I have heaps from when I played baseball, one from accidentally stabbing myself in the hand with a butchers knife at work, scars in my tattoo where the artist overworked the area, scars from having warts burnt off and scars from just being an idiot. They all tell a story and serve as a reminder at times.

My scars don't bother me. the ones on my wrist used to of course, but now I don't care. it's a reminder of how strong I am & how far I've come. I've always had scars on my legs/knees, one by my eye, & one on my forehead from chicken pox. the chicken pox one used to bother me because it's pretty big & circular & literally like right in the center of my forehead haha. but it's faded & now I could care less. I am still self conscious of my stretch marks, but maybe I'll eventually get over them like I did with my scars.

I use to hate my stretch marks but now I gladly embrace them. I see them as tiger stripes, and just adds to my badassery. I have a few scars, a few on my arms, one on my index finger from opening cheese with a bread knife haha, one on my toe from running barefoot and stepping on a piece of plastic, and one from falling UP the stairs lol.

@Alexis, yes! My friend had her's out before me and she was freaking out and still does, but mine gallbladder was making me so sick the last thing I thought about were the scars?? Ha I don't understand because I can barely tell they are even there.

@Shaye, oh goodness I am so glad I didn't have stones! My gallbladder just was only functioning at 16%

It's as if they don't even have natural folds, like where the joints are and such lol. anything less than "perfection" is disfiguring to the media! lol.

Girl you're lucky then haha! It sucked so much! I was terrified I'd have to have my gallbladder taken out and it's super strange for an 8 year old to have gallstones but I liked my burgers lmao! I'm glad you didn't go through the same thing though! ☺️ I always get interested when I hear someone mention gallbladders now.. Which is probably weird but it's reassuring to know I'm not the only one that had that sortof problem haha :)

Alexis! We are actually so similar(: I had heart surgery at 1months old and I think of it as my battlescar as well(: I have about 5 scars and they all come with an insane story so I'm quite the warrior! Lol I've come to love my stretch marks too!

I totally have a scar going across the side of my nose from an accident when I was younger. It's been there all my life. I don't even notice it. Some people don't notice it either and others point it out to me, I've had people say it's cool. It's never really bothered me personally haha. I don't get what the deal is around scars, I don't think they're that bad. They're kinda cool. They help make you who you are. You would be the exact same without them!

I love my scars. I have a scar going from one side of my belly to the other, I had cancer when I was 7 and they took out the tumor along with my right kidney. I also have a scar on the left side of my breast from where I would get my chemotherapy, I have another one when I split my eye brow open ( a huge dinning room chair fell on me lol) I tore my acl last year and have the most ugliest scar on my left leg as well...ugh hated it at first and still do some days but I look back at them and think to my self " I'm awesome " hahaha

I've avtually come to realize that the battle with scars is not us against society, but us against ourselves. lile for example acne scars, I never notice them but to the person they are so obvious. my stretchmarks on my arms&knees I hate them but nobody has ever pointed them out and I eventually got over them and started wearing more shorts&dresses and also more tank tops. I didnt accept them until my senior year in high school so I mean not that long ago.

People see my scar as a scratch at first but then I'll corrected them and explain how I got it.

The story behind my scar is being whacked on the cheekbone with a golf club. I got pushed back by my brother but the swinger took a step back as well which left me brawling my eyes out and running to the stairs.

That's pretty much all I remembered as I was only 7 or so at the time.

According to my mother, she requested a plastic surgeon to patch up the wound so it wouldn't leave me feeling insecure later on, however the surgeon did not do a good job and it was noticeable. So mum mad about that but honestly, if you treat your skin with proper nourishment then time, wounds and scars fade.


I would've shared a photo but I can't find any that really shows the scar, the best time to see it is in daylight.

I Embrace my scars. I wouldnt say I love them because itd be nice to forget about most of the accidents I had that resulted in them. Its also a bit of a reminder that I'm very clumsy, and I should accept my mistakes and mishaps as learning expeirences, which they are for the most part. The only scar I don't like is theone I have on my top lip. but, its mostly only noticable to me because I know its there.

I love my scars and I like the look of other peoples too. I'll always seen them as interesting and cool looking, even as a child I liked to show off the really deep one on my belly. The only one I have that I don't like is the one beside my eye because its not a nice story and it ruins my eyeliner but the rest I have no problem with. Maybe I was just sheltered from the notions of the media as a kid because I don't mind my stretch marks or cellulite either and have never understood why they are something to be ashamed of.
