Well I've used Tan Wise lotion from Sally's for awhile, and just in the past few days it stopped working. My skin color doesn't change whatsoever. What is going on? Is there any way to fix it? I was going to stop by a pick up the mousse and see if it works better. I don't know what to do :(

For future purchases I would recommend putting your tanning lotion in the refrigerator it makes them last longer.

Do they go bad quickly? Could that possibly be why it stopped working?

Hm that's weird. I don't have much experience with at home tanning but I am certified for norvell airbrush and while exfoliating is extremely important to remove dead surface skin cells for an even application I can't imagine that would cause it to not take any color at all. It is worth a try for next time. use an exfoliant that isn't oil based and make sure you have no perfume, deodorant or lotion on your body as that all can effect it as well. We use a barrier cream for rough spots like ankles hands and knees but for at home if you don't have one you could use moisturize those areas but if it's similar which I'm assuming it is, you don't want any other products on your skin. It is important to keep your skin moisturized afterwards to ensure an even tan. It could be that it is now expired or you got a bad batch as well because even though products can effect your tan I'm not so sure it'd cause you to not get any color at all, but definitely try prepping correctly and see what happens!
