I saw on a previous thread that you can darken your hair with coffee? I already have medium brown hair with a red undertone, so I'm wondering if this will work. Also, how do you do it? I know you mix the coffee with conditioner, but when do you shampoo, or after you use the coffee do you shampoo and condition as normal, or do as normal but with coffee in the conditioner? Sorry for all the questions!
Also, is there any natural ways to bring out the red in my hair?
Thank you girls!!x

My mom tried this before and it really didn't have a huge change but her hair was already dark to begin with. Shampoo your hair, soak it in coffee, then condition with the coffee.

How long does this last for and or does it change the color of your hair?

@sandy does sun in really work? I heard it turns your hair orange/ a brassy color.

Ariana - Thank you! My hair is medium brown so it might work:)
Emma - I don't know, it's what I'm trying to find out!
Sandy - They don't even have Koolaid in the UK, but we have sun-in. Lots of backlash with Sun-In, people saying it made their hair orange and whatever

I'm not sure about coffee, but I know you can spray your hair with black tea. that's what kitty does.
people still use kool aid & sun in lol. neither are a good idea, though.

Kool Aid works but I wouldn't do it just because I had a friend (she had black hair) and it actually turned it pink. It was really strange and took a while to get it back to the original color. As for Sun In, yes it works, but its very drying and is intended for people with naturally blonde hair, that is why people complain of brassiness is because its not meant for brunettes. I think that using Tea is the best bet for anything other than just coloring your hair. I would save the hassle of trying anything else, and just color your hair.

I can't even get koolaid in the UK, so couldn't use it anyway. I wouldnt use Sun In either as it's got such bad backlash.
Okay, do you do the tea washes same as the coffee washes? I might just colour my hair darker than waste a good cuppa haha:)
