Sooo I have reddish hair and I was wondering about that kool-aid method when you put it on your hair and it helps enhance the color. My hair is starting to fade and I wanted to ask you ladies what would happen if I put red kool-aid on my hair would it make my hair more red? Is it safe? & if so how do you do it? Thanks (:

I actually dyed my hair with red Kool-Aid at it was phenomenal! It did make my hair a little dry, but I used Garnier Butter Treatment for dry, damaged hair and my hair was like silk! So I say it's ok to do it with kool-aid, IF you're looking for it to be long term. My hair stayed red with kool-aid for Several Months, and stayed vibrant throughout :) But if you're looking for something temporary, DON't DO IT!

I dyed my hair this pass summer with red Kool-aid and it stayed in for a couple of days but I washed my hair every night. The only thing is that it stains so make sure you wear a towel over you.

I did red koole aide in my hair and it was bright red and so pretty it didn't fade on my hair I basically had to cut it out because I got tired of it lol.

Kool-aid is super bad for your hair. Just don't do it. Buy a 10$ bottle of veggie dye (manic panic, special effects, directions etc) they're safe for hair, but won't stain, and are much better quality than Kool aid. Just don't risk it, it's a dumb idea all around to use a food product to try and dye your hair. There's plenty options to get bright colored hair for cheaper, Waaaaay less damaging and way safer for your hair.

What I did was I boiled 2cups of water then added two small packets of fruit punch kool-aid and let it boil for a minute. then take it out and submerge the hair you want to dye in the kool-aid for about 20-40min :) If your hair is dry a day or so afterwards, I suggest Garnier Butter hair treatment :) And the kool-aid will drain a little bit when you shower for the first couple of times. But don't worry, it stays vibrant! :) I hope this helped! Xx
