Whenever I have a shower my hair always falls out (even when I don't wash it and it just gets wet) like so much hair comes out its crazy. It's been doing it for well over a year ad my hair doesn't feel any thinner because its so thick. Do you think this is normal for thick hair?
I've tried different shampoos and conditioners and I don't see any difference in the amount that falls out

Depends how much is falling out
Are you pulling it out in clumps?
Hair fall when showering is normal even if you don't wash because hair is more prone to breakage when wet

Well people lose an average of about 50-100 hairs a day, regardless of their hair type. So unless it's coming out in clumps like mentioned above, I really wouldn't worry about it.

I have thick hair and my hair falls out a lot too, but it doesn't worry me cause I don't really see a dramatic difference in my overall hair amount.

See a doctor, whether or not it's coming out in clumps. Mine falls out in large amounts, but not clumps, and my hairdresser told me I needed to see a doctor. Doc said it was caused by stress. Mine wasn't serious, but it's always a good idea to check with your doctor, just in case. You never know!

I have long hair and when my hair falls out it looks like a lot even if its just like 10 strands. So if your hair is long and thick then don't freak out, it just looks like a lot more hair is falling out. Just as long as its not falling out in clumps and you're not getting bald sppots and stuff.

It's normal! Means your hair's growing! Don't sweat it.

There are a couple of patchs on either side of my head where my hairline naturally went back a few cm but its getting worse in those bits and a lot thinner so I will ask about it next time I go to the doctors :) thanks for your help, I'd say it is stress but ill get it checked just incase.
