Hey guys! I just came back from Mac and Sephora and I was really satisfied with my purchases. (haul coming later!)
Only thing is, I just realized that there's something in my purse that I didn't pay for and I feel terrible about it! it's a cheap item but I'm going to feel guilty using it! Do you have any experience with this? What should I do and what would you do? If I go back, will I get in trouble, or will I get someone in trouble?
I feel so bad about this!

Thank you for your help!

If you go back you won't get in trouble, happened to me before with a pair of shoes (macys) bagged an extra pair for me... I guess the lady was just shocked I took it back and she thanked me:) is the sephora far?

Yeah, it's far but it's "near" where I study, about 40 min away and another hour and a half from where I live. Also, I live in Italy. But I believe that a corporate store like Sephora has the same policies all over.

Most stores are genuinely happy and surprised that you bring the item back. Happened to my boyfriend last year during Black Friday in Game Stop. They were surprised he called in to say he was bringing it back and actually did it.

Honestly I don't know if I'm giving you bad advice but if it's way out of your way I wouldnt bother(40 min is 40 min that's quite a drive)... but if you'd like maybe you can keep safe until you decide to go on another Sephora trip and return it then.

I would call before I go to sephora and explain to then that you live far. its a mistake and it happens and I think that the fact that youre willing to bring it is vey honest of you. a lot of companies will even offer the product to you since its their mistake and youve gone out of your way. so I would definitely call and ask them what you should do before making the trip.

Iline, it's a 1h30m train ride and then a 25 min walk to class, then a 10 min waterbus ride (Venice!) and from there it's about half hour away on foot. Not a huge deal (I still have to go to class), but I think I'll do like Erin says, I'll call them and see what they tell me :) if they're like "who's this? we have to come and get you and take you to jail" then I won't bring it back lol! I think I can keep it safe until I go next time!

Maybe mail it back?

I don't trust the mail service in Italy, it has fooled me way too many times. But thank you so much, Shannon!

Yeah it's best to be honest and take it back but who knows maybe because you were honest they'll be surprised and let you have it

The thing is, I don't even want it! :/ I'll just take it back :) thanks Alyssa!

It's a comedone extractor.it looks like a weird medieval torture contraption...like something to pull out your eyes with... haha!
Isn't it such a weird thing to accidentally take home? lol
