Used Lanza. For all you hair peeps wondering the technical information it is 20g 5V and 10g 5R. For this particular client I turned the color into a double pigment by cutting the developer in half because some areas sparkled more than others. (Sparkle as in 80% or more gray.) I like to use the term "sparkle" because it is less abrasive sounding than gray. That and my god I'm weird. Ha.

Lanza is amazing. The only thing I have to be careful about is the powder lightener because it swells up really badly in foils. I just fold them so that one corner is open so they can breathe a little. Helps the swelling a lot.

Before I got in the industry I didn't realize that hair is nothing but science. Every chemical service down to the products.
The most interesting part is that every strand is different and no two heads are the same. So each time is an "experiment" and that makes it so much more exciting. C:

I've had the same problem with the redken flash lift swelling, but I always leave the foils open on the sides too.
I recently tried pravana pure light lightener and it doesn't swell at all!
