From person experience guns are not the best on anything except for traditional ear piercing. Also you don't want a stud because your lip gets swollen and the stud can get buried in your inflamed skin. You want a ring because it heals better and the inflammation doesn't affect as bad

I had studs to begin with too. they give you longer studs because your lip will be swollen & you can go back & get the normal length stud once the swelling goes down.

I've never been a fan of bottom lip piercings but I'm also pro piercing lol. It's always better to have a bar in to begin with, with any piercing because a ring causes the piercing to heal in a different direction and doesn't leave the hole straight. I say get it if you want it, you can always take it out.

Honestly, don't think the lip would suit you but maybe consider some other piercings like your belly button, or some different ear piercings
