Have you tried totally closing the app, like swiping it closed? And then re opening? Sometimes I try that when my apps are misbehavin'.

I think you should try what Bree said. Also, what I have done in the past is do all my text first, post it saying pics to follow, then post the pic separately in a new comment. I don't know why, but it seems to handle it better that way, like all the text and a pic at the same time overloads the app.
