My skin used to be really bad and after 6 months of dermatology appointments pills and topical ointments my skin was finally good. but now about a year later I'm starting to break out again. nothing terrible but my skin is never completely clear. since its not really bad I think paying 100 just to talk to my derm is a bit extreme. does proactive help with small break outs??

Ugh no, and your skin gets hooked on it so you'll spend more on using it for the rest of your life than you would going to a derm.

Don't even go near it unless you want huge breakouts that don't go away.

There's so many post about this I thought all of us can look it up... but anyway

Nope not good for the skin. It has addicting ingredients (what @Brittany said) and it mostly works horrible on others face. I used one little bit for one zit and 10 zits came back the next 3 days. Bunch of bull shit , not a good product.

No I was on it for over a year
It kept my acne the same
I saw no change at all

Honestly,
I know people who love it and I know people who hate it. It's all about your skin type! Find others who have a similar skin type and react the way your reacts to ingredients. Listen to reviews from those people as they will be the closest thing you could get to knowing how you may react.

I have very sensitive acne prone skin with some dry patches. For me, proactive worked for a little bit (about 7 or 8 months) and then just completely stopped working.

Proactive is designed to make you break out kinds bad for a few weeks/months then it will go away. Mine did it made me break out it continued using it and now my face is very clear.

When I tried it, it bleached my towel. Do you want something that strong on your face?

Proactive worked for about a week on me, then irritated my skin so badly I was crying from how much it hurt. Definitely not worth it!

To be honest, all the products seem to kinda hurt your skin. But I use just the moisturizer and it's amazing.

Nooo it did nothing for my brother. Go to a dermatologist

When I started using proactiv + my skin burned and was very irritated by it (I have sensitive skin) but after a few times imy skin got used to it and eventually I had the clearest skin I've ever had (my skin is never completely clear) but after about 3 months on it I ran out of it and after only a few days of not using it, my skin broke out like CRAZY. ALL OVER my face. when I looked it up I learned that your skin can get hooked on rhe chemicals in it and I wish I had known that sooner. it took a couple of months before my skin was back to normal. so I'd say don't use it.

I have been using proactiv plus now for almost 2 months and it has been working really well. It's getting rid of my acne. I still break out but I have severe acne so it might be different for you
