I called john Frieda customer service bc their ash blond foam color turned me super brassy and yucky! I used a toner and it helped but the woman was so nice and sent me coupons for free color refresher gloss and purple shampoo and conditioner. The gloss is new renew fresh looking just colored hair between dye jobs and recommends using it root to tip...my roots are dark purple and the rest is the most beautiful cool blond! Can this be fixed does anybody know?! I would feel greedy and unappreciativevcomplaining to them again after they were so cool about helping me. Any ideas?!

So it was a toner? You might be able to wash out the purpleness at your roots by applying shampoo, just there, and sort of using a scrubby washing motion. Try not to touch the rest of your hair, obviously shampoo will get on it but just don't scrub at it, concentrate on the roots.

It's not really toner but its a glossing treatment to refresh your color and reduce brassiness so it is purple and works like a toner. I just am amazed this happened because actual toner has never done this to my hair and this stuff is just a light purple glaze that you leave in for 3 minutes! Thanks for the advice Bree! I'm going to try a clarifying shampoo just at the roots so I don't fade my beautiful new blonde! I'm so glad you're on bl you always give good advice and are hilarious btw:)
