I have just recently purchased coconut oil and read somewhere you can use it as an alternative to face cream? But I'm really not sure. What are your thoughts on that? Thanks.

I know it can clog pores so personally I wouldn't use it everyday. Perhaps when your skin is super dry you could use it but I don't think using it that frequently will be beneficial especially if you're acne prone.

I wouldn't use it as a face cream.
Coconut oil is moderately comedogenic, therefore it will not be favorable to acne prone skin types.
Coconut oil doesn't contain any moisturizing factors to it and will only seal in moisture. If you want to use it, maybe taking 3 to 4 drops and mixing it with your moisturizer is as good as it can get.

Yes don't use it every day and do a test patch first

I've used coconut oil many times over night but I honestly find that vitamin e oil and jojoba oil works better although coconut oil is antibacterial I've found it's best used as a makeup remover it literally melts off your makeup and esp mascara and eye makeup just rub some on and rinse off with warm water and then cleanse your face as normal, I have extremely dry skin and no break outs so what might work for me might not work for you, also have found if you do this it conditions your lashes as well which so does vitamin e- I use a vitamin e capsule at night on my face and wake up with beautiful skin- it gets rid of break outs, dry skin, wrinkles, helps lashes grow, redness and irritation, etc. Works better than my expensive face creams!
