Salicylic acid vs benzoyl peroxide? Which one is better at eliminating pimples?

Vasoline also works good if you put a little but on your pimples

Danielle, are you sure they are pimples? I am not saying this rudely, but vaseline has a ton of oil in it and that is what a pimple is, oil, so putting more oil on it would not do anything. Vaseline works well as a moisturizer. You might have dry skin growths, I get them some times. It's just dry skin flakes and new skin grows over it. I don't think they are 'pimples' per say.

When the follicles are congested, oil cannot reach the surface and skin may get dry. Use a skin compatible oil (I personally do not believe in petroleum jelly-because it is an artificial oil and will further clog pores) such as Tea Tree oil, or organic cold pressed olive oil, or grapeseed oil to moisturize. And go to a licensed facialist/esthetician for extractions.

Salicylic acid is typically in over the counter products and works well for mild acne. If you have more cystic acne (underneath the skin that you can't pop) or more severe acne benzoyl peroxide is better and this solution is usually the same one your physician will prescribe to you. It is also the active ingredient in proactiv's product.

I don't understand why people can't just shut their mouths. (comment not directed particularly at anyone) seriously if someone says something you don't like, just smile, nod, thank them for thei opinion, and agree to disagree. It's really not that hard. No need to act like a bunch of prepubescent girls.

Salicylic acid makes those little bothersome ones go away faster and benzoyl peroxide goes under and helps prevent future one. Id get a benzoyl peroxide face thing and a salicylic acid spot treatment for the little ones
