Hair grows back pretty fast. I think short hair looks good on pretty much anyone so at you should try it. Maybe shoulder length first then shorter if you want.

I think that hair style would look really nice on you and suit you! But if you prefer your longer hair you can tell your hair dresser that you want that specific hair style but a bit longer/few inches then in the picture :)
