Hello :) I really like the look of old Hollywood waves but I've never been able to recreate them on my own hair. I've watched lots of YouTube tutorials on creating this look but when I try it it just looks like I did beachy waves. How do you curl your hair so that your whole head has the same wave like the picture? Also, how in the world did they make her hair so shiny? Thanks a bunch 😙

You have to wave the cuts going towards your face. And when I'm going for this look I grab larger sections of hair to curl at a time instead of small sections. Then when it's all done you brush thru the hair to get the unison curls. Add a light touch of hair spray for shine and hold

And using a curling wand for this look not a clip curler. Sry if this all sounds confusing it's so hard to explain lol

Yes like Vickie said I find tht if I curl the hair and before I let it spril I pin the cruls down with bobby pins and let em cool down first, it help to keep the crul more cruly so they snt look like beach wave and thn comb it out. l.

Try pin curling instead of using a curling iron. Be sure to experiment with it, though, because depending on your technique you can come out looking like that pic or like Shirley Temple. If you do a full pin curl and let it set overnight, wear a scarf or bandana wrapped around your hair so that you don't rub them around to much while you sleep. A quicker way to do it would be like M G said. Just be sure to let them cool completely before you take the pins out!
