Ever since I can remember I've always had a pretty decent complexion with the some redness and the occasional hormonal break out, but lately it seems I've been breaking out quite a lot and I haven't changed my skin care routine! I've been getting pretty bad pimples that last FOREVER, but the worse part is the raised bumps that I have all over my cheeks and such. I tried using the tea tree range from the body shop and it hasn't worked at all. I'm trying not to use anything too harsh because my skin is normal/ dry. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Has your diet changed at all?
that could also be the cause for your breakouts. If you're not already doing so make sure you drink plenty of water everyday

I'm sorry, that's no fun! Have you tried any products with benzoyl peroxide or salicylic acid?

I've had terrible skin this year too. I think its because I sweat like CRAZY when I work out in the morning. I am also about to switch birth control which I'm hoping will help!

Nikelle- not really, if anything I've been eating healthier!
Melanie- not yet, I've been looking up some spot treatments but I'm not sure if I should get one with BP or SA.
Brandy- I'm getting on birth control soon but it's the paraguard so there's no hormones so I'm hoping it won't affect me much!
Janelle- thanks for your suggestion! I hardly use make up maybe twice a week so I'm not sure that's it and I have a decent skin care regime but I'm going to try to switch it up and find something that might help for break outs. Thanks everyone for your suggestions I really appreciate it!

It depends on what your skin likes best! I do tons better with benzoyl peroxide then I do with salicylic acid. You might have to try a few products to find what your skin responds to best. Good luck!

That sounds like hormonal fluctuations. I see that you aren't on hormonal birth control; it might be a good idea to look into those options if skincare alone can't tame your current acne problem.

Generally BP isn't the greatest option for dry skin. Something with AHA or BHAs could help. Salicylic acid may be too harsh. If you can, see a dermatologist or esthetician.

Emily- I can't have hormones in my birth control due to medical reasons and I use a chemical exfoliant with bha in it, and haven't really noticed a difference. Thank you though!
