Shaving your face?

Someone told me about this and how they, well, shaved their face. They said to use a eyebrow razor (the one with one blade) and take off peach fuzz using downward strokes. They said it helped with makeup application and made your skin look nicer (apparently old, possibly new, Hollywood stars use this trick). They said the hair grows back the same but I'm really skeptical. I don't want to try this then get full on stubble. Has anyone tried this? And would they recommend it? How do you do it, and how often. Thank you.

Well, regardless, if you get rid of hair it will grow back in stubble. however..it WON't grow back thicker/darker all that jazz. having no facial hair does indeed make your makeup application look smoother/nice..because when there's it, it'll really accentuate that and sometimes clump up on the hair. I've never tried it, but my grandma does..she does it once every week I believe.

I actually started doing this months ago after reading about it on a blog! it keeps my face super smooth and exfoliated! :)

I do it. It is referred to as 'dermaplaning'. It is good to do if you have a steady hand and are gentle with strokes because it exfoliates/removes dead skin layers and hair. Hollywood women have been doing it for a long time. Marilyn Monroe did it, I believe (well, had it done by someone else probably); and they say it makes your skin look younger because of the smoothness. And yes, the hair grows back the same. The only places hair stubble seems stiffer and more coarse when growing back would be pubic and leg areas.

Oh and you can go to some spas or skincare centers to have it done professionally! They use actual scalpels that are obviously extremely sharp! But they will get the closest shave possible.

I personally wouldn't because like when you shave your legs if you do it to often It will grow back faster

Plus you could get stubble , ingrown hairs and all that jazz

And the peach fuzz on your face ( well the hair anywhere on your body ) is to protect you from viruses and diseases and bad bugs from getting to your skin and getting into your body

And where would you stop shaving? There's peach fuzz all over your face

It doesn't? Because when I first started shaving my legs it took like a week to grow back even the tiniest bit but then one time I shaved it half way through the week ( don't know why) and then after that the hair started growing back faster to the point where after a couple of days I would have to shave again

That has also happened to all of my brothers when they started shaving there face and now the shave everyday

Cutting off your hair does not affect it's growth rate, or everyone would have hair up to their ankles every time they got hair trims/cuts lol.
When you shave it off, you cut it off at the base where it's widest.
Waxing, on another hand pulls the hair, base and all out which is why it takes a longer time for hair to grow back when it's waxed vs when it's shaved.
When you shave your hair, you only cut it off at the base which is the thickest part... so this is why a lot of girls think that their hair is growing back thicker.

They make razors for the face area, I use them all the time. Make sure you do it after you've applied your face products and it's absorbed. I don't have an issue with it growing back and worrying about stubble because

A. It takes me less than a minute. You are doing your face... not your legs. You can always get your face hairs threaded if you are worried about stubble.
B. I do it as soon as I see hair.

It does allow your make up to look so much better, I will admit that.. but that's just having a hairless face in general. Since my hair is dark and my skin is light, sometimes it can look like a muddy weird contour thing. I think you have to try it out to see if its worth it and if you like it! Like I know some girls hate having hair on their arms and shave it off... I gave that a go a month ago and I really did not care for it. ( And got a bunch of cuts as well :(.. )

I wish my gynecologist would stop getting on my case about shaving. I have a medical condition that gives me a beard and I have thick hair so I need to shave it. However, he is convinced (because he went to medical school) that shaving causes the hair to grow back thicker. We have an argument about it every time I go in there.
