I've been saving my money to save for a good camera that can take great photos for makeup and fashion but doesn't break bank.
It seems like every camera people are recommending is a DSLR but I don't have the kind of money or amount of skill.
What camera would you recommend? (something that isn't over $500)
Thanks!

Canon Rebel t3 runs about 400 to 500 depending on deals. It is a great beginner dslr camera.

Dslr cameras do have automatic settings but often the pictures come out, well, unprofessional and to similar/flat. If you care to learn about manual settings or even using a TV mode or AV mode then try a dslr, but if you just want pictures then I would recommend a simple point and shoot. As for actual camera recommendations the only ones I would use would be about 500+ to 1000+, but I care about a good lens as well.

If you have any questions about cameras feel free to ask me. I'm not a professional but I have taken classes and took a trip with National Geographic to learn about photography. I can help with minor photo skills and editing software and working it.

I have a Kodak z 710. I love the pic quality and it has a fair amount of settings for a reasonable price. I got mine on sale for 80.

Any point and shoot camera will do. I even use my iphone5 and it takes good pics. Depends in the lighting. Bit it can be fixed with editing apps. But for landscape photography or if I travel I use my Nikon D7100 with 18-200mm VRll lens. I saved my money to buy one. So if your ready to have one I recommend you this. But for the meantime just use any regular cams.
