So I've been dying my hair a 5RV for over 10 years and I do love it, but its soooo hard to maintain and I feel like I'm limited to the range of colors I can use makeup wise. I've seriously been debating moving on to a 5WN. What do you girls think, would it suite me? I like to stand out and be different so I'm afraid it won't have enough oomph lol, but I'm so tired of the red hair dye struggle :(... I don't have a solid pic of my hair when its fresh so I just googled some pics, here's the difference, please look at the pics on my page if you want an idea of what I look like.

Just to be clear, your hair is now the top pic and you are contemplating the bottom pic?

I've gone darker and more brown than red and am really pleased-some red will still show through after a few days if walking around In some sun so you'll feel like a redhead with less upkeep. ( I know how it becomes a part of your, (my),identity.

Thank you guys, yes my hair is more like the top pic. And Yes! Jane, I do feel like it's become part of my identity lol, I guess that's why I'm having such a hard time making the commitment.
@ Grace, I love your hair, seriously love it, do you have a hard time maintaining its vibrancy? That's my problem, my hair looks fantastic for a week then it will begin to fade and look blah...It doesn't matter how little I shampoo or co-wash or what products I use, it always happens :(

I do think the new color would absolutely suit you Ashley. You could always go back after a couple of months if you are really not feeling. Will you have to lighten your hair? The new color looks lighter. I guess you want to also consider how your roots will grow out. I am probably not helping you with all these questions but I could never tell someone "go for it"-it would suit you but it's ultimately up to you. Let's see pics if you try it out!
