I've never heard of castor oil for your hair. but have heard of olive as moisturizer for the scalp. but as for hair growth I don't think they help it hair grow its all gentics and how long it takes for it hair to grow. as long as you take of your hair like keeping up with trimming and not using heat and if you do use a heat protection. I've learned that through multiple threads from some of the lady's here on bl!

I've heard good things about both.
but I just use olive oil.
any decent olive oil is fine.
but you use it like a deep conditioner after shampoo.
its not something you leave in your hair if you're using olive oil straight.

They both good for your hair. castor oil is much thicker than olive oil and therefore may not be good for those with a finer texture of hair.
