Z-Palette help! What would you do?

First apologize if this is the wrong category, I just wasn't sure. Mods, please move it if you feel like its inappropriate.
So I want a Z palette so bad because I have a ton of nice palettes floating around and I wish I could see all my shadows at once. I feel like some of them don't get all the love they deserve. I especially hate palettes that come in cardboard packaging, even if the shadows rock, like Stila and Too Faced...I'm so apprehensive about it though, the idea of tearing apart my palettes scares the heck out of me and I'm afraid I might regret it.
Do any of you use z palettes? Do you love it? Are there any regrets for destroying a 50 dollar palette package? What would you do?
I'm not a MAU, so I'm not traveling or anything with my makeup, but I just want to be as efficient as possible because I wear makeup M-F and change my look daily. Please share your opinions, even if you don't have one.

I don't have a z palette, but I wouldnt use it for my palettes. I would use it for single shadows like Mac or Mug. I just live my palettes too much to do that.. lol thats just my opinion.  :)

Lol Sandra, that one of the things I'm afraid of, I've already been watching a ton of videos on how to depot. Lighters, ovens and knives..Oh my! lol ;)

I am no MUA but I use z palettes. I like them for eye shadow singles. I never take apart my whole palettes because I don't want to ruin shadows in the deconstruction process. But I love z palettes. I like the Mac empty palettes they are easier. It takes a little bit to get the handle on z palettes but I'm sure you can easily find z palettes tutorials on how to deconstruct a palette.

Omg! I thought my MAC PRO Duo palette didn't have a magnet in it lol, the magnet in there seriously sucks! I had to glue all the products into it (even MAC products...into their own palette lol) I've never had a problem with things sticking to either of my Z Palettes but then again the Z Palette is like double the price of the MAC.
I loooove my 2 Z Palettes though, I have all my smaller eyeshadow palettes (quads, trios, etc.) in them :) I find myself grabbing for them a bunch more versus when I did when they were all in their own packaging. I'm also hesitant to put high end shadows in there lol, because I think I'm going to break them. I broke 2 MAC shadows my first venture into depotting and I'm much more careful now but still nervous every time I lift a pot out of it's pan hahaha!

I don't think z palettes are cardboard like how stila's palette's are made. I think she means she wants to start using z palettes because they are better made.

I HATE that they took away the old MAC palettes. The new ones suck and take time to get the shadows out. ANYWHO I have 3 Z palettes and I use them for my single eye shadows from MAC and make up geek. I'm not a huge fan of depotting although I did depot 4 MAC blushes for my MAC palette. I'd just say be careful if you choose to do it but z palettes are so handy because you can put a lot of stuff in one place but pre bought palettes I wouldn't worry about. I'd leave them as they are :$

Thank you guys so much for your input. Yes, I mean the cardboard palettes like Stila's in the Moment palette. I seriously hate it, I feel like it is so cheap feeling and I fear I might accidentally get it wet or something.
I do have several loose pans, that's how I became interested in Z palettes to begin with, but now I'm so curious about putting everything in one place so I can see it all and give all my shadows equal opportunity lol. Your opinions have definitely helped me out! Thanks again Ladies.

I love seeing all my palettes out lol I couldn't bring myself to take them appart but singles definitely can go in the z palette.
