I feel like moisturizer is almost as personal as perfume, everyone's skin is completely different, categories such as Oily/Dry/Combo are a very broad starting point. I suggest you take into consideration your personal preference to consistency and what you are looking for, such as day cream, night cream or both and how your skin acts during different seasons. Then you should filter your search by the properties and ingredients you're looking for such as Anti-aging, sun protection, pigmentation correction, pore refinement etc... Talking to sales associates/beauty advisors, doing research online and using filter tools on online sites will help your zero in on your perfect moisturizer, also, expect to try several different ones before you find your match. I have dry skin and I wear Murad Essential C day moisture. It's expensive but it absorbs fast and doesn't leave my skin greasy or cause breakouts.

I agree with Ashley because every moisturizer does not suit every skin type. So you have to see which one would be best for you. There's so many out there with many different benefits.
