I'm a "halfrican" too, and while my hair is more on the wavy side since I've damaged the curls right out, I think that argan oil might do the trick. I use just a few drops, worked through the length of my hair after I wash and condition (I avoid my scalp because I try not to wash my hair too often, and putting any product near my scalp is bad news), and I find that it helps seal in some moisture. Too much makes my hair sticky and gross, so you've got to find a good balance. For curl definition, I love Kinky Curly's Curling Custard. A little goes a long way with this as well. I find that using coconut oil as a treatment helps my hair to feel softer, healthier, and more hydrated. The typical suggestions of little to no heat, no brushing when wet, and not over washing also apply, because the healthier your hair is, the easier it is to manage. Good luck!

Yes cantu Shea butter (leave in conditioning repair cream) is amazing!!! I use it for myself as we'll as my kids hair (who are all kinds of mixed..lol) but I find it makes it easy to comb thru and keeps from frizzing.

hi brooke im half too and I agree with courtney too. I use oil on the ends of my hair after applying my leave in to seal in moisture. I also use kinky curly custard along with the knot today as my leave in. products can be found at target! :-)
