I just got some blonde hair dye and I'm ready ombré my hair, but I'm not entirely sure how to do this? Any advice/tips?

There are tutorials on YouTube that I've seen. Check out Nicole Guerriero's YouTube channel. From what my hair stylist told me when I got my ombré hair done, it technically should be three colors. 1)your top color or new growth 2) a color between that color and the color at the bottom of your hair and 3) the lighest color you want to achieve. Hope that helps :)

It would be easier to have a professional do it for it to come out the way you are expecting.

When it comes to hair have a pro do it I learned that lesson the hard way my hair got so damaged that I had to cut it short. Lesson learned

Thanks guys! I would go to a professional but I live a half hour from town making it hard for me to do so without my license yet. But I will definitely check out some tutorials on YouTube Erica S.

Just take into consideration yor hair colour first if its black/dark brown, then the blind might turn it red brassy, just be careful

Oh gosh you really shouldn't do it yourself. I have ombré color (done professionally) My hair is dark brown and I was fully warned by my stylist that my dark hair may not get down to the desired blonde color in one sitting and she was right. Judging by your pictures your hair is also dark so I really really recommend that you don't do it at home.

Well, I don't mind if it's not the color I'm going for, just as long as its not green or blue! Haha. I think it will be fine, I do everything by myself (hair trimming, hair coloring, layers, etc.) but thank you for the warning, if something goes wrong I will go to a professional (:

Blonde dye won't work. But a good bleach will. I just did mine not even a week ago. My hair was dark brown and it went to a light blonde. And then I dyed it blue and green ombré. I love it.

I hope you're ok with orange because that's the result of at home bleach kits on dark hair. I've experienced it first hand. Danielle is right blonde dye won't work. Dye can't take pigment out of your hair.
