Advice for newbie modeling? And best way to get started?

As a mom to an actor/model my best advice is involving your parents. Its cut throat and if you aren't strong to handle the hills and valleys then you will become a very insecure and bitter young woman. If you're looking for an agency run from those who ask for money up front in exchange for work. The big cities such as New York and Los Angeles offer the most number of agencies. I could go on and on....if you have more specific questions just feel free to ask me. :)
