Does using lemon on your hair damage it?

So I've had some problems blah blah blah and won't give my hair just yet. So I want to go ombré but don't want to bleach it because it'll ruin it. I've NEVER done anything to it {my hair} except for cutting it. So does using lemon works? Is it bad? What are other NATURAL ways of doing it?

Bleaching really isn't that terrible when properly maintained, but I understand if you don't want to :) you can get your hairdresser to use a high-lift ash blonde dye instead of bleach and it won't be as damaging

You do realize that any DIY stuff is probably WAY more damaging than just having it bleached by someone who actually knows what they're doing, right? Hahah. Bleaching isn't all that horrible as long as you have a reputable stylist and knowledge on after care

I agree with Renay! The word 'bleach' does sound a little scary though! Lol!

I was soooo afraid to use bleach but when I used it, it didn't damage my hair! I was so surprised.
