I always just wear jeans (or jean shorts), boots and a t shirt. Wear what you like, because if you try to go all-out "country," it always looks like you're trying very hard. From someone who goes line dancing almost every week, and country concerts all the time, just jeans and a t shirt and boots or a simple dress and boots work just fine.
