I like talking and explanations....I find my mind wandering when there is no talking and the people I watch on YouTube pull me in with personality as much as anything else

I feel the same way :) that's why I explain as much as I can on my videos. I have a hard time paying attention when its fast fowarded or just music. I like explanation! That's how I learned ;)

i agree. i like talking & explanation videos. the personality of the person keeps me interested & makes me want to continue to watch the video & future videos.

I like both... but it REALLY depends on how you present yourself throughout the video.

I like non-speaking videos because it can open up your audience to people that do not understand English [or whatever language you're speaking] and it can bring focus to watching what they are doing...

...but I also love videos where people explain things, but they aren't rambling, they're well-spoken and personable.

It all depends on how you decide to show yourself to your viewers.  =)
