How are you applying it? with a brush or fingers?? sometimes when you use too much of the product it makes your dark circles look far worse, or it may be the color of the concealer, when it doesn't match all it does is make your circles stand out more.

If it is not working make sure the consealer is 2-3 shades lighter. If that still does not work try a corrector. Eve pearl and Bobbi Brown have really good correctors Apply corrector to the dark area. If the circles under your eyes tend to be very purple, use concealer with a yellowish tone. If the under-eye circles are blue, get a concealer that is more orange colored. Reddish circles? Grab an olive-based concealer and if your circles have more of a brownish tone, try one with a blue or mauve shade. These concealers will look funny in the tube, but when they're applied to your dark circles you will immediately see their neutralizing affects. Then you apply your regular concealer I love to use Benifits powderflauge under eye setting powder to finish.

If you have dark circles I probably wouldn't try to go lighter with the concealer, it will most likely draw MORE attention to the problem area and theres a good chance the darkness will show through and look grey. Definitely agree with theresa about the correctors though! you may also have purplish circles in which case you would benefit from a more yellow toned concealer/corrector

I have the lighter concealer...which might be the problem! And my circles are very dark/black in color. So should I try the color corrector??? If so are there different shades?

so for the MOST part dark undereye circles (even if they just look black) have blue undertones. This is because they are commonly caused by broken blood vessels. So most salmon color concealers will help counteract that and brighten the area. If your circles are really bad you may need a corrector which will normally be orange rather than just salmon. So if you are having a hard time determining what color your circles are, I would just assume they are blue as that is normally the case

have you tried a corrector instead of a concealer?
also if you have a corrector apply it first and then your foundation... it should do the trick,
remember that the corrector is lighter so if you apply it after your foundation looks weird.
if you go for the concealer I apply it after foundation, and it should be a math of your skin, and dab the concealer, don't swipe it.
also remember to apply a setting powder, so the the product don't smudge.

I know that mac does make an orange corrector but it is a pro item. What you want to remember if you are using a color corrector is that you ONLY want to put it where you have the discoloration. You are using it to cancel out the other color, but if you put it anywhere else on the skin and the other color is not there for them to cancel each other out you'll see it
