I personally don't have curly frizzy hair but my mom who is full puerto rican had to always relax her hair. Whenever she washed and go she ALWAYS used products from John Frieda's collection. :)
I keep my hair natural, so I usually just wash as usual and use some sort of styling cream with a bit of hold. I prefer creams to gels, lately I've been using a curl cream (green & black w/ a pump) from Tresemme and another from Garnier.
I suffer from super straight hair that does NOTHING. However my boyfriend has to die for shoulder length curly hair:D If he doesn't put product in it he gets SUPER frizzy and out of control. He likes to use a combo of Rusk Define and Paul Mitchell Super Skinny serum:D
DevaCurl - No-Poo, One Condition and AnGel. Couldn't do my curls without the stuff. But I've also started using a tshirt to get rid of the excess water after I wet it down too; regular towels just make it frizzy. And I air-dry without touching it as well.
The DevaCurl AnGel is a bit crunchy once your hair is fully dry; this is a result of allowing it to air dry. BUT! Once you play with it - gently! very gently! - and fluff it out a bit, it's perfect.
Have you tried any of the Miss Jessie's products? They're heavy, but they dry very soft, especially if you diffuse.
What about Mixed Chicks, the leave-in, with a few drops of Curl Keeper??
Well, I first learned that good conditioning helps A TON! Overall tho, I love to use a detangler/defrizzer (pureology) , moroccan oil , and I do not blow dry it! Sometimes I use the Aveda be curly gel and I get very nice curls from that!
My hair is naturally kind of a tight 80's spiral perm kind of curl. I don't blow dry it if I'm going to wear it curly or I turn into sideshow bob. I just let it air try, and I get really nice curls that way. I've tried a bunch of different products over the years, but I always go back to Paul Mitchel Super Skinny Serum. It sleeks my frizz away without being too heavy. Also is smells amazing. When I want more hold I've been using L'Oreal Studio Perfect Curves Curl Smoothing Cream. A little bit goes a LONG way with this stuff if you don't want crunchy hair.
On a normal day I`ll use morrocanoil and a FATHair mousse for control shine and smoothnes. If you don`t want to use mousse, Marc Anthony`s Strictly Curls line is FABULOUS, especially the curl creme.
Try Mixed Silk from the Silk Elements line at Sally's. The stuff is absolutely AMAZING! It smells so GREAT, is lightweight, and really defines curls without leaving a crunch or frizz! I swear by the stuff :]
I absolutely love the Kinky Curly curling custard and the Kinky Curly Knot Today Leave in conditioner. Either one tames and defines my curls whenever I do a twist out, but the product has a really sweet, almost candy like smell. Other than that, I am in love and I haven't found a curly pudding that is just as good. Kinky curly doesn't flake and the best thing about it is that it leaves my hair soft. I loathe crunchy hair.
JUS KEEPING UR HAIR MOISTURIZED WILL HELP KEEP IT FRIZZFREE..W LIGHT WEIGHT LEAVE IN CONDITIONERS...AND OR BIOSILK PRODUCTS...APPLY ACCORDING TO HAIR DRYNESS... :)
I agree with janelly in biosilk. its amazing! also another I love to use aussie deep 3min conditioner. I don't use them together but switch back and forth between them.
I'm glad I found this post! My son is bi-racial and his hair is sooooo thick and curly, but coarse in one spot! For the life of me, nothing seems to work and his hair still looks a frizzy, fro mess! Hopefully, with you guys' input, ill be able to manage it!

I like Shea Moisture Curl Enhancing Smoothie. It's really thick so you only use a little, but it locks in moisture well. :)
