So I was just watching a hair tutorial and had to pause it and come right over to Beautylish to tell y'all about the tip she gave on storing bobby pins!
We all know bobby pins have legs and like to run away, but if you keep them in one of those mini Altoid containers they will fit perfectly and you wont lose them! Plus if you want to keep bobby pins in your purse the Altoid container wont take up much room at all and your individual bobby pins wont slip to the very bottom of your bag this way!
Now I know I have a mini Altoid container around my room some where, just have to find it! :)
Just thought this was a nice storage tip I would share with yall. I stole it from Clothesencounters, but they said they got it from Yayalifestyle!

Oh thats a cute idea! I actually have mine in an old hard plastic false eyelash case from lashes I used for my wedding! Its a perfect clasp lid and it just keeps them all in one direction and neat! Bonus is that I can stack it! Cheers!

Those are good ideas, Yasmin & Bekah!
As embarrassing as it is to admit, I actually used to carry school supplies in a tackle box kinda like that. I'm so ashamed looking back on that. You might be a redneck if... haha.
And I'm excited b/c I was packing for college earlier and found my mini Altoid container so now I can put my bobby pins in it! :)

LOL Erica. Ashamed? Of being clever? Don't be! What's funny is that most ideas for beauty storage ends up being scooped up by some company that turns that idea into a beauty box. Look at makeup train cases... those huge ones started off as someone's idea of using a man's tool box and turned it into a beauty train case.
I use a small index card box for my lipglosses, kitchen drawer dividers for my eye/lip pencils, cd boxes for my palettes, a pencil box for my sponges, a glass vase for my brushes and shoe boxes for my nail polish. :D

I have a roll of magnetic tape, and have little 3" strips of it inside my medicine cabinet, on the side of my vanity, and a few other places in my home where I generally put in/take out my pins. The pins stick to the magnet, and don't end up on the floor. I can also keep them wherever I want knowing that they're stuck and won't walk away. The tape cost me less than $3 and I have a lot left for any other projects that come up.

@Yasmin I use pretty much the exact same kind of container for my bobby pins, hair pink, elastics and hair clips.
@Erica actually, a lot of makeup artists that work on movie sets use tool boxes as a makeup kit because they often have to work in rough terrain.

I keep mine in tic tac boxes :) its so easy to just pop one out at a time, and I can throw them in my purse if I need to take them with.

I keep mine all over, along it's hair ties. Luckily, my doggy brings the hair ties to me, it so much the bobby pins. I have mine in a make up brush bag. I was actually thinking of getting one of those things they have in offices for paper clips. They're magnetic so it should be hard to spill. I work with about 15 girls so we have bobby pins all over the place! Luckily at home they're usually contained to the bathroom.
