I purchased some beautiful lashes from Ruby Kisses and Elf a while ago.

I have not worn them because I haven't quite mastered the application. I hate when I see women and you can tell that their lashes are fake.

I was wondering if any one had any advice on how I can apply my lashes and make them look natural?

Trim your lashes down so they're 3/4 lashes - for first time application, I found it easier to work with those than full strips. Make sure your glue is tacky before you attempt to put them on, and finding quality lashes is always helpful when applying if they're durable, flexible and curved to fit your shape.

I find the ELF lashes to be too flimsy, and when I made a boo-boo, they would always crimp when I tried to pull them off to re-adjust them. Hopefully, you have better luck with them!  =)

how do u apply individual lashes? do u place them above the natural lashes? or in between the lashes? and what glue makes them last. i see some of the nailery's using black hair glue.

Always always use DUO glue. It's the best. For individual lashes, I tend to space then in between where they aren't as full.

if your a beginner at putting lashes on, i dont recommend on putting individual lashes on. they are very time consuming and can get a little tricky because the pieces are so small. stick to strip lashes first, and trim them accordingly to the size of your eyes. if your eyes are pretty big, you probably wont have to trim them. i personally use DUO lash glue. you can get some at any store really and they stay on. put a small layer on the strip, let it sit for a bit until the glue gets sticky/tacky and then try picking them up with tweezers. tweezers make things a lot easier because they are much thinner than our fingers. place it above the natural lashes, but close enough that they will blend well. once they are on your eyes, you can adjust them to your likings. hope this kind of helps.

Tip: I use the back end (the single-piece, or handle, or whatever) of my tweezers to apply the glue in a thin strip to the lash band. I squeeze the glue out onto the back of my hand first, and let it sit there for a moment while I get the lash ready, then scoop up a bit of the glue and run it along the lash band. Make sure to get plenty of glue on the ends, as those suckers really like to pop up once you leave the house and no longer have glue with you. As others have said, give the glue another 10 seconds or more - you want it tacky, so that if you touch the glue between your fingers and then pull them apart it looks stringy and pulls back together. Then just place the band right at the base of your lashes and hold/pat it in place while the glue sets up. Final step: run a thin line of either liquid or gel liner (I prefer liquid, but to each her own preference) along the lid right at the band, especially at the inner corner of the eye, to camouflage the band and help the lashes look even more natural. You can also "pinch" the lashes into your own natural lashes to sort of fluff them together if you find that they're not playing nicely.

thanks ladies. i believe i have the strip lashes down pretty well but i want to incorporate individuals into my services and i want the lashes to last as long as possible. i use DUO now. how long should i tell my clients the lashes will last? i usually say the strip is for one occasion and if u want to reapply then take them off and clean all the glue off then reapply with new glue.
