Do any of you feel like you went to school to get a degree in something because maybe parents or other influences told you to do that instead of go to beauty school?
I found myself in that situation, I got my bachelors in psychology and I truly do love helping people. I currently work as a behavior therapist for children with autism and I love it, but I really think make-up and hair is my PASSION.
any suggestions on what to do??

You don't need a piece of paper to be a professional MUA, learn the tricks of the trade. Start off doing TFCD TFP and build your clientele and port.

I know how you feel Megan :) I work helping out people with mental illness etc, I love it but my passion is makeup/hair & beauty to. I'm going to be cutting down my days at work next year to start up my own business in makeup/beauty. It will help having a certificate in hair &/or makeup & you'll learn a lot. Just start out slow, theres no need to rush. Set goals & go for what your passionate about :) Best of luck x x

I totally hear what you're saying...I'm currently in cosmetology school & I've been told that it's stupid and that it's a waste of time, but if you're doing what you love, then you're never wasting time :) I've even heard someone say that it's "not real school." I love cosmo school & am so glad I decided to go!
