Yes and no. haha I like to use a more 'modern' black nail polish. Like a plum/navy/green that is so dark it looks black in some lights but isn't. I also like black polish with multi colored glitter in it. It adds some extra unf to the black nail look without looking like a 12 year old mall gawth haha.
Yes! I love dark shiny opaque black nails, it looks super classy and sophisticated. I also LOVE a MATTE black polish..It gives off this awesome vampy dark vibe! Black glitter nails are really fun for parties and events too:)
Well, I think black is something you either love or hate on your nails. I wouldn't go spend a lot of money on a really nice black polish until you know for sure if you like it on your nails or not. A good one that I use is the Wet N Wild Wild Shine one in Black Creme. It's really cheap too. I think I got it for 99 cents.
I love black polish. Especially matte black. It reminds me of primered out hot rod paint jobs. So it makes me feel like my nails are all murdered out and badass. I also like a lot of the other girls love just really dark purples/blues/greens that almost appear black in most lighting until the sun really hits them to show that they're not.
My recent favorite black polish is the Milani polish in Black Magic. If you do a medium to heavy coat you only need one coat to be opaque. Also it goes on super smooth, and its pretty cheap.

LOVE! I don't know why, but even if it is such a dark color... I don't feel like it ages me. It can never make me look too young or too old.
Red polishes are tricky - find the wrong shade, and it can age your hands by 10 years... =(
