MyGlam Cons:
1. Problems with their security certificate (the SSL for their https) which is STILL broken. (*Strike that* Looks like the error is the same one I encountered with Beauty Army and that has to do with the Facebook app - If you are logged into a Facebook page instead of a normal profile the https will "break" and the SSL will have an error. The only way around this is to be logged into your Facebook normal profile and not page OR not be logged in Facebook at all.) [FIXED]
2. Can't change your credit card or debit card without canceling your subscription. [FIXED]
3. Accounts suspended by MyGlam without informing subscribers. [UPDATE: Some members who were suspended have found their accounts are now "gone" after the new website rolled out.]
4. Payments are NOT taken out on the 1st. My January payment was charged my card on December 23.
5. Pages are not updated. (They're corrected this partially.) [UPDATE: New website released at the end of March 2012 which has corrected some of the problems.]
6. Contact with someone at MyGlam has been difficult for many subscribers (discounting those who signed up just to be members). [UPDATE: Continues to be an issue for some members as some members use the old email addresses versus the Help Desk contact page.]
7. Lack of confirmation emails when people order their Glam subscriptions. Come to think of it I NEVER got an email and I checked my spam box. My daughter subscribed yesterday and didn't get one either. [UNKNOWN STATUS]
8. Lack of shipping confirmation during the 2nd month (today). Last month (December) they used Stamps.com before the 10th to print out labels and with the ship date of being the 10th but this month STILL NO confirmation shipping email and it's the 10th (7:22 PM Pacific). (This was written on December 10. As of December 18 MANY people ended up getting TWO or MORE bags while others will NOT be getting one and instead MyGlam issued a refund.) [UPDATE: Since February, MyGlam has been using UPS MI, there have been glitches however most members have not had problems since the switch.]
9. Mix of drugstore lines with high end products. It looked as if MyGlam was going to work with high end products and did the first month which hooked even MORE subscribers but this month (January) it's a mixed bag. [UPDATED: They're working on this.]
10. Sending out concealer to subscribers WITHOUT knowing the person's shade or skintone! [UPDATED: They're working on this.]
MyGlam Pros:
1. $10 and you get full size items. For now at least. [UPDATE: Mix of one-time use products to full size products.]
2. There are still high end products in the 2nd bag but it's a mixed bag. (see above) [UPDATE: Drugstore items and kisok/informercial products have been sent out.]
Email sent to those who never got a tracking number confirmation.
Dear Valued Glammie,
Thank you for being a Glam Bag subscriber. Every month we promise to ship your Glam Bag around the 10th of the month. This month we had an issue with some of the shipments.
Our shipping partner Fulfillco confirmed that they incorrectly affixed duplicate labels to multiple bags on Friday that they then sent to UPS. Unfortunately, despite our team working through the weekend to recover every single package so that we could re-label all of them, we were unable to get any help from UPS and only recovered a smaller portion of our entire shipment.
Since we have mistakenly sent some people two packages, we are now missing a small percentage of Glam Bags. Unfortunately, yours was one of the Glam Bags that were incorrectly sent and that is now not recoverable. We are very sorry to have to disappoint you. We have already processed your refund and you should see it in your credit card or bank statement within 3-5 business days.
Of course, refunds are not enough, and we realize how disappointing it is and how much everyone was looking forward to this shipment. We want to make it up to you so we will be sending you an extra gift that is worth over $10 as part of your February Glam Bag.
We very much apologize for this inconvenience. Thank you for your understanding and patience as we grow MyGlam together. Please do not hesitate to reach out to us via http://myglam.assistly.com/ if you have any questions.

That is a hot mess and just from reading about this nightmare I don't think I'll be joining any subscription sample service. What sounds shady is the fact that they say UPS failed to help locate the mistagged packages. From my experience dealing with retail shipping and UPS....they will bend over backwards and forward to correct a shipping snagfu like this for a business account. For those that are stuck with the aftermath I highly advise after you get your refund to immediately contact your banks and see if you can block them from future charges. I have a feeling the next nightmare could be duplicate cc charges.

Thank you for writing this I wish I would have seen it before I subscribed. I just cancel my subscription, I was waiting for the 30th but since I paid for one month only, I better get February's bag. lol
Cinthia V.
It's a mess and I'm regreting signing up. I got an email saying there was shipping delay, but that I WAS getting my bag for sure between the 20th-25th. I think I'm going to cancel, I don't want to go through all this hassle.
Rikki P.
I have one reason for not joining: Michelle Phan.
For. Get. It.
Sure, I liked some of the products that were featured in the first bag, but I just cannot support the girl. She's a mess and this just proves it.
Yasmin K.
I've been reading that some people who got bags were sent bags that were recovered so the shipping label of the previous person is seen under their own shipping label. If MY address was given out to someone else I'd be pretty upset.
Jaclyn S.
i just got mine today and i was a little upset that it took so long but last month there was no problem. im okay with drugstore items in mine because they are still products i wanted to try out and i got all of these GREAT products for 10 dollars plus a bag and its all eco friendly. i just ran out of my sheercover concealer and my facial mask and i got two new ones! im still really happy! you get full size items and travel size, mix of high end and drugstore, and a cute bag for only 10 dollars! just cause it is drug store does not mean its bad!
Jalaina S.
I just subscribed so I'm hoping I don't face the problems that you have experienced. But if a company has corrected its mistakes its ok. Some drug store stuff is ok w/me too. Cause even going to the drug store I wouldn't be able to buy very much for $10.
N O I R.
How did people end up getting more than one bag? And what happens when they do? Do they at least get a shipping/mailing coupon or pre-paid mailing pouches so they won't have to pay for returning them?
Noelle M.
what a mess glad I haven't joined, thanks for posting!

Unfavorable comments deleted on their FaceBook Page, and foreign ignorance about it.
Such superb customer service!
Mariah F.
hmmm! i subscribed on jan.17th and they charged me right away. i hope i get it soon, but someone told me that i might have just purchase my february bag super early! i hope not! this does sound a bit sketchy :c
N O I R.
Wait a minute. Is MyGlam the same thing as the GlamBag that's run by YouTube gurus?
Soma S.
^yup, it is! I don't like the idea that unfavorable comments are being deleted on their page. They need to learn to take accountability and handle bad press better...
I also don't like how they give a makeup bag EVERY time you receive a shipment. THAT is NOT Eco-friendly. I had hopes after the birchbox feedback wasn't so high, but this doesn't sound so great either... Sorry to hear all of your bad experiences, but glad you all shared!
Melanie G.
There's no excuse for the amount of problems they've been having with shipping and billing. I don't even know how that even happens. But I must have been one of the very lucky few who got their January bag without any shipping issues, and as of right now I'm happy with it...although I only have one bag to go off of so far. I love the products and I am actually using them as opposed to the teeny tiny Birchbox samples I would get and toss to the side (which were usually high-end skincare...no thanks). I mean it included a full size high-end eyeshadow, almost full size high-end concealer (granted, it happened to match my skin tone), and full size face mask...which I actually tried and hated, but I'm sure there are people who loved it and will use it. I, personally, love the mix of high-end and drugstore, since great products can really come from both, and usually a drugstore product means a larger sample size or a full size product that people can actually afford to repurchase. However, if I run into any issues with them next month with billing then I'm out...I have no patience when it comes to that kind of stuff and it sounds like their customer service isn't at all helpful, so I hope they get their act together! They should have been prepared for the amount of subscribers they would be getting.

I received my bag yesterday.
There were two labels under mine. So yes, I now have someone else's address -___- makes me paranoid about someone having mine..
Terra M.
I recieved mine yesterday. I had absolutely no problems though all of this bad news doesn't seem too promising for the future=[

YIKES! I have been hearing so many bad things about my glam. This just is a mess thank you so much for sharing. I really don’t like the face its not a secured site, and that other people are getting others bags along with their ADDRESS!
Kendra S.
Interesting- I tried to sign up a few days ago...but they said they were out of bags or something. Thanks for the update- I am still a little curious about it. Has anyone tried the Beauty Army?
Amanda L.
@Kendra I got Beauty Army's first box this month. No issues at all, billing was fine, they emailed you with shipping info, etc! Well I guess some people had issues with the site crashing the very first day they launched but that was resolved quickly. I'd definitely recommend it, can't go wrong since you get to choose your samples. Here's my post on it if you're interested :) http://xoxosnowflake.blogspot.com/2...
Yasmin K.
Beauty Army had a couple of issues at launch. The first was they weren't able to deal with the traffic they got. That was quickly resolved by their web host. The second was a lack of a SSL security certificate which they also resolved on Monday.
Jordan R.
I ordered my Feb glam bag at the beg of this month b4 I heard all about the bad stuff, so lets see how it goes
Yasmin K.
Hopefully things are fixed for next month. I can't imagine the same problems happening two times in a row.

EH. never cared for michelle phan and this sounds like a real mess!!!
